Owner Representation
Contractor / Yard Oversight Visits
When you can’t be at the marina, we represent your interests with documented check-ins: photos, progress updates, and clear “is it matching the agreed scope?” reporting.
Who This Is For
Owners who travel, live out of town, or simply can’t be present during repairs, upgrades, or yard periods. Great for: bottom paint / haul-out, engine work, electrical projects, canvas work, detailing, rigging, and electronics installs.
What We Do
- Scope alignment: confirm what’s being done matches the written estimate/work order (observational)
- Progress documentation: photos + notes at agreed milestones
- Questions & decisions: collect questions from the yard/vendor and route them to you fast
- Worksite checks: verify obvious items like parts on hand, boat properly secured, hatches covered, shore power handled safely (as applicable)
- Close-out walk: photo-document the finished work and flag anything that looks incomplete for follow-up
Common Oversight Packages
- Kickoff Visit: confirm scope, access, timeline, and photo baseline “before” condition
- Mid-Project Check-Ins: 1–3 visits depending on project complexity
- Close-Out Visit: final documentation, punch-list items, and readiness check
What You Receive
A time-stamped update after each visit: what was done, what’s next, photos, and any decisions needed from you. If something looks off-scope or delayed, we call it out clearly so you can act quickly.
Important Limits
We are not the repair vendor and we don’t control vendor workmanship, pricing, or timelines. Our role is owner-representation and documentation—helping you stay informed and reduce surprises.
Service Area
Clear Lake, Kemah, Galveston Bay, and nearby Gulf Coast marinas. See Locations.
FAQs
Can you approve change orders for me?
We can relay recommendations and help you understand options, but approvals and payments stay with you unless
you provide written authorization and limits in advance.
Will vendors talk to you?
Most vendors are happy to coordinate once you authorize us as your point of contact for updates.
We’ll keep everything documented and transparent.
Can you oversee repairs after a storm?
Yes. Many owners pair this with Post-Storm Damage Documentation
and then add oversight through the repair period.
How is pricing handled?
Oversight is typically priced per visit or as a small package of scheduled check-ins. Send the work scope and we’ll quote it.
